The UKCP is a membership organisation, with over 75 training and listing organisations, and over 6,600 individual practitioners that holds the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors, listing those practitioner members who meet exacting standards and training requirements.
The UPCA aims both to provide a professional body for graduates of university and university-linked courses which lead to a clinical qualification and to be the vehicle by which graduates might become registered psychotherapists.
